Let's turn hearts into shamrocks...watercolor style!
This is a fun and easy art tutorial for the whole family try!
Here's what you'll need:
(Click the links to get the supplies!)
Watercolor Paper
Watercolor paper is best when you're using watercolor paint, but feel free to use what you have! Construction paper might be a good option for kids (just use less water so it's not runny) My favorite is this paper block!
Watercolor Paint
There are really so many watercolor paints to choose from! If you're painting with kids and want something cheap, your typical Crayola Watercolor Paints will work. If you're wanting something with some vibrant pigment, I recommend ECOLINE or WINSOR & NEWTON.
Round Paint Brush
You can pretty much find a paint brush anywhere, and they're not all created equal! The more quality brushes will be a bit more costly, but if you're just painting for fun, grab a cheap one! Here's what I used!
Directions
1. Paint three or four hearts so that the sides barely touch and the bottom points all face in towards each other.
2. Add a stem
3. Drop in more paint for fun dimension and watercolor effects
It's really that easy!

...And just remember there is no such thing as perfect, so just have fun with it!
If you or your kids try it, I would love for you to tag me so I can see, too!
I hope you and your family have a Happy St. Patrick's Day! ☘️
